Atlantic Road

After a long drive and a ferry crossing, we arrive in the small town of Averoy. We find a spot on the natural campsite owned by a German expat. Due to the heavy rain, only a few spots on the field are available. As it is in the middle of nowhere, with only a few cabins and nature and a lot of water around, we spend one day relaxing and the other day crossing the Atlantic Road. The Atlantic Road passes through several smaller islands and bridges in the sea. It is a little over 8km long and one of the tourist attractions in Norway. Consequently, there is a lot of traffic on the road. Stopping at the small island parking lots is rather difficult as they are packed with motorhomes and other campers. However, we still make a stop and admire the road from a small hill. After the crossing, we find a small forest so that Rocky can also enjoy a nice part of the trip and not just hang out in the car. After 3 nights, we head towards Bergen.
