Short trip to Luque

Ebimisami: 06.02.2018

Yesterday, we took the car and drove around Luque a bit. A lot has happened. Many roads have been paved, which really confused me.

Unfortunately, my old school is still closed until February 12th, but I was able to catch a few glimpses through the entrance gate. Nothing has changed here! At least nothing that I could see from the outside.

Even the street in front of the school is one of the few in this neighborhood that still looks the same as in 2010. No pavement. :-(

Just as I was trying to take pictures of the road conditions, a very cute car appeared in front of the camera. I don't want to withhold this random photo:

Since the school is still closed, we drove one block further to visit my first host family from my exchange program. I just wanted to have a look from the outside, but then my host sister Melli suddenly spotted us and asked us to come in.

Everyone was super nice and very happy to see me. In this family, I notice the most how much time has passed. My host sister is married and has a little son. My host brother recently got married too and will be a dad in April... It's all very strange for me :-D

After this unexpected visit, we continued to visit Meche's grandma, who had called the day before to invite me.

As grandmas do, she immediately heated up lunch so that we wouldn't starve :-P

After this meal, things went downhill for me. I couldn't keep anything in my stomach and got a severe stomach ache. Since Meche didn't want to take any risks, she took me straight to the doctor.

For this reason, there is nothing more to tell, except that I hope to get better soon. This is not how I imagined my first real vacation day.
