13th Stage: Even more bells!

EN | After crossing the German-Dutch border, we stopped in Oostwold and spent the night at the cute and idyllic mini campsite 'Garden Frog Mountain', which is lovingly run by a couple.

The next day, Arnaud was already in for another surprise: a visit to the Bell Foundry Museum in Heiligerlee. We had an extensive private tour, and Arnaud got to ring all the bells himself! There was also a small carillon that Papa immediately played. To conclude the visit, Arnaud chose a miniaturized bell, cast on-site, as a souvenir for his collection!

Afterwards, we traveled to the beautiful city of Groningen, where we stayed at a well-managed campground in the city park. Our old friend, the hedgehog (now named 'Igor'), paid us another visit at night. Since it was raining relentlessly, we had to extend our stay for two more days. At least our tent got thoroughly washed from all sides... We used the time to explore the city, visit a laundromat, enjoy some doughnuts at a café (Arnaud was very excited about them!), and explore the market.

FR | Après avoir passé la frontière Allemagne - Pays-Bas, nous nous sommes arrêtés à Oostwold, où nous avons pu passer la nuit dans un mini camping très idyllique le 'Garden Frog Mountain' dirigé avec beaucoup d'amour par un gentil couple.

Le lendemain, une surprise attendait déjà Arnaud: la visite du 'Klokkengieterijmuseum' (un musée sur la fonderie des cloches) à Heiligerlee. Nous avons eu une visite guidée privée et Arnaud a même pu faire sonner toutes les cloches qui s'y trouvaient! Il y avait aussi un petit carillon, sur lequel Papa naturellement joua. À la fin de la visite, Arnaud s'est choisit une petite cloche fabriquée sur place pour sa collection!

Nous voyageâmes ensuite vers la belle ville de Groningen, où nous avons logé au camping dans le parc central de la ville. Notre vieil ami l'hérisson (il s'appelle maintenant 'Igor') nous a naturellement rendu une petite visite nocturne. Comme il ne cessait de pleuvoir en trombe, nous avons dû prolonger notre séjour de deux jours. Au moins, notre tente a pû être bien lavée de tous les côtés... Nous avons utilisé le temps pour voir la ville, faire des emplètes ainsi qu'une visite (plus que nécessaire) chez le pressing. Arnaud a été plus que charmé par les doughnuts du café et une petite visite au marché était aussi de la partie.
