Today the island hopping and snorkeling mission started at 8 a.m. I guess snorkeling means I'm going to go see the fish. I don't like them on my plate or anywhere near my body 😅 Great conditions! And then there is the water, which I know is often too cold. Luckily that wasn't the case, the Thai sea was almost too warm and very, very salty. My hair no longer deserves the term hair. 🤷🏻♀️
The tour started at the harbor in the fog, just before Koh Yak Lek the sun came out and we were able to enjoy the first island and the first snorkeling. From Koh Mapring we then went to the largest island, Koh Rang. We had two hours there. Since I'm almost a fish now, I spent most of my time in the water. The last island on the route was Koh Song Phi Nong. There were really colorful fish to see there. Then a larger specimen came too close to me and I may have squealed slightly and of course swallowed salt water. It definitely contributed to the general amusement. My travel group was also so fun and international. The majority came from France and my French is like fish: there are beginnings of friendship, but only beginnings. We were still able to communicate somehow. Then there was the family (about 15 people) from Japan. We couldn't communicate at all and yet we communicated all day long. Zin also took my photos and lent me his waterproof cover for photos.
Ten hours on the road and completely exhausted, but it was really nice 🥰
