Sometimes you make plans only to not implement them. 😅

The day started sportily, I ran the 400 meters up Pottinger Street. When I got to the top I had coffee. Meanwhile, I was sending voice messages and was suddenly spoken to with an accent that was very familiar to me. Milou from the Netherlands heard me speaking and we started talking. We discussed our plans and then decided to spend the day together. 😊

We drove to the Tai Kwun Center, visited the former prison and the Supreme Court. Today you can see restaurants, bars and museums there. Then we walked to the longest escalator in the world, an impressive 800 meters long. After every 200 meters you can get out on the right or left if you don't want to continue. When we reached the top we drank sugarcane tea, which I personally don't need again 🤭.

Our path continued through Hollywood Road. There was a temple that I really wanted to see. The Man Mo Temple was really impressive, but those smells... That was definitely two or three incense sticks too many. Still, I would recommend this to everyone.

Then we had no plan for a moment and just strolled through the streets. You just have to let that sink in. We saw a strange art exhibition of inflatable figures (really only possible in Asia) and lots of markets. Hunger arose and we ordered everything except fish from a less touristy shop (there wasn't even a menu in English). We tried to explain that we would like to try things. I can't even say what we ate there. 😅 My highlight were the dumplings, I like to eat them in Germany, but that was a completely different story here. Simply delicious! These slippery things were also delicious. No idea what that was 😄

Milou convinced me that we needed to take a boat tour. On the way there we met two Australians who really wanted to look at Typhoon Mast on the other side of the harbor. We went straight along. When we stood in front of it, we all had to laugh so hard. That wasn't particularly exciting. We didn't really understand the thing either. Afterwards we had a coffee and all went to our hotels. I'm lying there now and won't move anymore.
