Liverpool Street
Liverpool Street

Right at the beginning I have to say, I am impressed and I will definitely come back. However, living in such a city is unimaginable for me. On the streets, you move in a whirlwind of people and you just get carried away. Almost like being remote-controlled, the mass moves from traffic light to traffic light, all equipped with a smartphone and headset, looking down.

In the many small bars and restaurants, people are busy with their numerous DEVICES - laptop - tablet - smartphone. Certainly quite normal in such a lively, large, modern city and yet alarming for a country person like me.

We are staying in a super classy small hotel, Ecke Principal Place not far from the center. Point A Hotel Liverpool Street!

In the restaurant at Principal Place you can really eat quickly and deliciously ... just around the corner, across the street.

Soooo .... We arrived at the hotel, changed, freshened up and off we go. Towards Tower Bridge .... What luck that we arrived late in the evening, so we could also experience the magic of the lights in such a big city. Everything looks so different and so much more beautiful than in daylight. Although I have to say the city is really clean! The way to the goal was already impressive. The many modern buildings and in between houses, churches, and corners that tell stories. I have to free myself from the whirlpool and constantly stop ... marvel ... take pictures ...< br />

On we go to Tower Bridge ..... < figcaption>
An absolute madness how great everything looks at night. The Tower and the Tower Bridge look illuminated and simply breathtaking with the thousands of lights.

On the next morning we still have some time to explore the city in daylight. As every woman can think, a shopping center was also on our list. So let's go towards One New Change. The great thing about this shopping center is the roof terrace with a wonderful view of the city and St. Paul's Cathedral.

The journey of discovery through the many small streets of the city continues. We walk towards the Thames. It's beautiful how different the city shows itself to us. From the traditional old butcher to the ultra-modern bar. Everything side by side and yet everything looks great together.

And everywhere the great little shops with knick-knacks and souvenirs ... not that you could buy everything, but browsing alone is fun.
Right by the Tower directly on the Thames, there is also a cool restaurant. You can sit outside in small igloos. Small plastic/glass domes ... great idea, outdoors and yet protected from wind and weather.

Conclusion: Awesome, we'll come back with more time!
