Free highways, Danish Lidl and a strong breeze

Ebimisami: 11.08.2016

Today we said goodbye to Legoland and it was a bit hectic. After sleeping in, breakfast, and a family bath, we realized at 10:30 am that we had to leave the site by 11 am. And the trailer was still empty. There was a huge line of motorhomes at the emptying station. Everyone had the same stupid idea. So we first went out to the parking lot and checked out just in time. The men took care of the unpleasant remaining work.

Then we headed to the top of Denmark. Almost 300 km in full sunshine. Free highways, hardly any traffic - a dream. Quick progress. Jule slept for 2 hours, Philip watched *cough* DVD and also slept a bit. A short break at 1 pm. The plan was to visit a Lidl just before Hirtshals to replenish our supplies. So we took a detour to Hjørring and went shopping. A Lidl! Just like at home! We gave Philip an ice cream and Jule a roll to hold in their hands and off we went to the ferry village. While searching for a campsite, we also checked out our ferry terminal. Huge! This Hirtshals is a pretty little fishing village. The campsite is also great - right by the sea. Rough waves here. Since we are only staying for one night, we didn't set up the awning today. We all ran straight to the beach and romped around. The sun was good to us today, but unfortunately only 18 degrees.

After dinner and doing laundry, we put tired Jule to bed. Philip played outside with Papa and announced that he wanted to stay up late tonight. Well, we love to hear that... *oh no*

Now let's talk about the nightly challenge. Philip goes to bed without waking up Jule. You can close doors at home. Not here. Clatter clatter clatter off to bed. Yes, something like that. And boom, she's awake. Well, we parents don't need a free minute anyway. Most of the time we fall asleep right away *sleepyheads *

So tomorrow is the highlight - the ferry. There's a bit of excitement here...

Good night!
