Hello everyone,
Here I am again, another day has passed and the time together with Lina and me is coming to an end. We have exactly one more week together before it's time to say goodbye. But well, we don't want to think about that now...
This morning we enjoyed breakfast in bed once again and this time we could directly look at the sea, which was very nice. It also got relatively warm quite early, so we left early. First, our path led us to Auckland where we picked up Lina's towel in the city, which she had sent here. Then we continued north to the Northland, that's the region north of Auckland. There we first went to the Piroa Falls and took a short walk and lots of photos there. Then we continued towards Whangarei where we went to Mount Parihaka. Actually, we wanted to hike up there, but the navigation system guided us to the highest parking lot, so we could only take a short walk there as well. After that, we drove back to the city center for shopping and then got some tips for the area from the local iSite. Once that was done, we made our way to our camping spot for today, taking the scenic route, which basically means that the navigation system decided to send us somewhere else and then even brought us to the wrong camping spot. But well, we arrived and have a great view over the bay and can start a hike up a mountain right tomorrow morning. Tonight we cooked couscous and vegetables once again and then went for a walk down to the bay after dinner and after rearranging the car. A digestion walk is really nice, especially since we spent almost the whole day in the car today.
Now it's time to go to bed, so we can be fit for the hike tomorrow morning.
See you soon,
Your Jessi
