Oamaru

Oamaru is a stopover on the long journey south. The town is famous for the local 'little blue penguins'. They are the smallest species of penguin in the world. They come back from the sea late at night and walk across the road to their nests/mates/chicks. I wanted to see the yellow-eyed penguins at another beach, but I had no luck.
