04.01.2022 Preparations for the evening engagement and engagement party

Today was a very special day for us. First thing in the morning, we had to pick up and set up the decorations for the engagement. We had already provided some of the decorations ourselves. However, since the decorations we had collected did not quite meet our wishes, we decided to start over and it took a lot of time.

The food also had to be picked up. We had planned a small buffet with cold dishes. In addition, there was a two-tier cake, a few desserts, and drinks. Some chairs were also brought by the guests.

It was supposed to be a small celebration with family, a few friends, a few neighbors, and the pastor and his family, whom Déby has a very loving relationship with.

Unfortunately, we just couldn't finish the preparations. We had invited the guests for 7:00 PM, but by 8:45 PM, we were still not finished with showering and getting dressed. We also had to pick up drinks, and Déby had to quickly go to the hairdresser. But the guests were super relaxed and patiently waited for us.

It was a very emotional celebration, with many tears of happiness shed, and we enjoyed the evening very much. The celebration lasted until around 4:00 AM, and we ended the wonderful evening extremely happy.

I have found a wonderful woman in Déby whom I will never let go of!
