Easter walkers - dinosaurs, eggs and parade

Ebimisami: 31.03.2024

Despite the very changeable weather forecast, which turned out to be true, we laced up our hiking boots again today. The (Easter egg) hunt began right at the beginning of our tour: in our overnight destination, Salema, there are 140 million year old dinosaur footprints to marvel at, although they were very well hidden.

Then it was time to search for the real eggs, which were hidden all along the route in a variety of places.

We also wanted to share our joy and so today people who crossed our path received a chocolate egg surprise and a warm “Feliz Páscoa”. Regardless of whether they were bus drivers, punks or hikers, everyone was super surprised and as happy as little children.

We didn't do much distance today, but it was still a very eventful day. We arrived in Lagos very late and by bus.

Greatly expecting a warm shower and a hostel, the “shock” was great when we entered our room, err, small, cold room. Long story short: we felt extremely uncomfortable and after an hour of wrangling, we quickly booked another hotel, packed everything up again, quickly stopped by the Indian restaurant and checked in again at 10:30 p.m. ... a very good decision, finally relaxing, finally warm again .

To all of you: Feliz Pascoa!
