On the way there, I took the Maglev train, which offers a great view of the city. When I arrived at the station, I was once again amazed by how modern it is here, and I even wrote that it could also be New York :D
Then I walked through the Bukit Bintang district, where there are many inviting bars and restaurants.
Finally, I arrived at the tower and took the elevator to the top. The view up there is breathtaking, and I can only recommend going there first. The panoramic view of the city and all the landmarks, as well as the skyscrapers surrounded by tiny houses, is incredible. It's awesome. I spent about 2 hours and 30 minutes up there, had a beer and something to eat. π
Afterwards, I went to a small zoo right next to the tower, and it was nice to touch the animals.
Then the day was almost over, and I was exhausted :D
In the evening, I watched the Bayern game. What a disappointment.
Then came the next day.
I planned to go to the Planetarium and the Bird Park near my hostel. The Planetarium may seem boring at first, but it's the complete opposite. It was really interesting, and there was a 3D cinema with a film about the solar system projected onto a large circular ceiling.
After that, I went to the Bird Park. It was completely rubbish π, but I was able to take some photos and relax there.
Then I went to the Islamic Arts Museum, because it was nearby. It was also quite interesting there, as Malaysia is strongly influenced by religion.
You hardly ever see groups of men and women together. Only couples go together to see things, but in groups, they are strictly separated. Completely ridiculous. It's like there are special wagons for women. (as if they were Jews π)
In the evening, after the museum, I went back to the hostel and then took a taxi to the new hotel :D I think I'll do that more often. Great bed, private bathroom, etc.
On the way, I met a lot of people and talked to them. Americans, Scots, Austrians, etc. And Germans for the first time π
Today, I'm chilling here in the hotel and will grab something to eat soon. Making this post and doing laundry took forever. I woke up at 8 and now it's 4:30. :D
Well, tomorrow or so, I'm heading south to Malacca. It used to be one of the biggest trading hubs in the world and there is a lot of interesting things to see.
Oh, and by the way. Everything here is so cheap. I could stay here for years π
