Update: Crab fishing

Ebimisami: 30.09.2019

Yesterday we set out the crab nets, today we pulled them in. The weather conditions were disregarded: it rained - no matter. It hailed - no matter. So we drove - that is Ole Bjarne, one of his friends and his son and me - out onto the fjord in whipping wind, which pelted us with hail in the face. There I had to sit right in the front of the boat as a counterweight and felt the power of the waves up close. Every time a higher wave came, I was thrown into the air and came crashing back down on the hard plastic. That's why I now have a bit of back pain and my wrists - I tried to cushion everything with my arms - also hurt. Hopefully I don't catch a cold on top of it. It was only 7°C and my hands and feet got a little cold because it was also wet.

So we sat huddled up.

And even the thing with the hair didn't get any better at sea...

But it was precisely because of these conditions that we got this fantastic sight, because for a very short time it stopped raining and the sun was shining:

But it was also worthwhile for another reason, namely the crabs - we caught a total of four, which Ole Bjarne now wants to prepare and has invited us to crab dinner this evening (it's only 8 PM...).

And here's an insight into this morning. The teacher was sick, so I got to take over the class. Actually, the students just worked on a worksheet and we discussed it at the end of the lesson. So I had plenty of time to write the previous blog entries :) P.S.: The laptop in the picture is my school laptop

And now I can pick up the shell (boiled)
