Negombo - Starting Over

By train we went back to Colombo from Kandy. The highly praised route, however, did not meet our expectations, but this could also be due to the many people who shared the train with us. In the train to Negombo, we passed the platform where we celebrated our reunion 26 days ago. Overall, there wasn't much left on our to-do list, because Lukas and Sabi's flight back was the next day. So we pursued our favorite activities and played Hobbit during meals.

The next day was similarly characterized by eating, playing, and a little bit of beach. All in all, a good time to take stock.

We had 26 wonderful days on the island with a lot of action. Overall, we made it to 10 stations. In addition to cozy beach days, there were beautiful hikes, exciting safaris, and countless fascinating impressions of the country and its people. It's not a matter of course to have such a relaxed and fun atmosphere throughout the entire travel time. Thanks for that and the beautiful moments during our journey.

Overall, a big thank you to everyone who provided us with tips for the country.
