Hello!
On 04.11. we went to Arona and went kayaking. We took a kayak tour with guide Daniel. The expectation to see dolphins and turtles was high. Together in a 2-person kayak, we paddled out to sea. Soon we spotted some dolphins, but they weren't very sociable that day, so we could only watch them from a distance. After a while, we left our kayak to go snorkeling. We soon discovered a sea turtle swimming very close to us. We also saw some schools of fish. Before heading back, we made a short detour to a sea cave. As the wind got stronger, we made our way back to the beach to finish the tour. Our guide was very nice and told us some information about the area. In the evening, we met with Theresa's volleyball girls via video conference to do a workout together. Exhausted from paddling and exercising, it was time to go to bed.
Today, Los Gigantes was waiting for us. These are rocky cliffs made of black volcanic rock that drop vertically up to 450 meters into the Atlantic. We enjoyed the view from a viewpoint and spent some time in the tranquility of nature. From this viewpoint, we could also see the neighboring island of La Gomera. On the way back, we stopped at Playa Abama. A beautiful beach between huge rocks with some natural pools. After refreshing ourselves in the cool water, it was time to go home. In the late afternoon, we met Tim's family via video chat. We ended the evening calmly.
Until next time!
