The university city of Boston

Ebifulumiziddwa: 17.05.2018

On Thursday, May 10th, we left the hostel in Boston and went for a walk. It was beautiful weather and Boston is truly a beautiful city. Everything is super clean and beautifully laid out. There are enchanting trees and small gardens in front of the beautiful brick houses. It didn't appear hectic at all, and the city is also very young due to the two famous universities- Harvard and MIT. First, we walked across the Longfellow Bridge to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The campus is very beautiful, and most of the people who were there also seemed very intelligent :D We went inside and admired the hallowed halls and drank from the water dispenser. Maybe we'll become smarter now :D When we went to the bathroom, my phone fell into the toilet: D It's fine, but it made for a story: "my phone fell into the MIT toilet."

After the debacle, we continued walking towards Harvard University. We stopped at Mariposa's Coffee, ate a cheddar scone, and drank coffee. It was a super cute and really affordable coffee shop. I've already decided that if I ever study there, this coffee shop would be my regular spot :D We kept walking and actually passed by houses with large fraternity symbols on the windows, it was like in a movie. One frat doesn't like the other, and no one knows which fraternity causes more trouble :D Then we continued walking to Harvard Uni. This campus was even more beautiful and huge! There are different faculties for law (where all the famous people from the series Suits also studied at Harvard Law :D), medicine, music, etc... We ate pizza from Pinochio's Pizza al Taglio. This pizzeria is famous among Harvard students because they have cheap and delicious pizza, even after 10 p.m. So perfect for satisfying your hunger after a long day! :D

After this meal, we took the train to the Prudential Center. It's a tall tower with a slightly expensive restaurant on the 52nd floor, but from there, you have a breathtaking 360-degree view of Boston. Teresa had a cocktail, and Tim and I had a soda since we're not allowed to drink alcohol in the USA yet. But unfortunately, the soda was prepared with the disgusting chlorinated water, which annoyed me quite a bit, considering I'm paying so much money... Well, the view was worth it, and we were the only ones up there wearing hiking shoes and backpacks, everyone else was fancy and rich :D After that, we walked back to our hostel and hopped straight on the bus since we were heading to Cape Cod. We arrived there around 8 p.m., set up, and had delicious chili con carne for dinner.
