Since we had to vacate our cabin by 09:00 am, but our bus to the airport didn't leave until 03:15 pm, we also booked a shore excursion through Tui for our departure day. Our destination was the Martha Brae, which is a river in the interior of the country that we wanted to navigate on a raft. The rafts are made of bamboo and looked very adventurous. Two people were driven by one rafter. The ride itself was very romantic and we glided down the river for about 45 minutes. Our rafter explained the plants and animals around the river to us. There were even sales stands on the shore where crafts were sold. We also admired a cemetery where the plantation owners were buried. The ride ended too quickly. After a detour to a shopping center, where we could also try the famous Blue Mounten coffee, we made our way back to the ship. Here we still had time for a last lunch in the Atlantic and a cocktail before the bus to the airport awaited us. A truly fantastic and dreamlike journey, which we will remember for a long time, came to an end. After a somewhat chaotic flight, where we stood on the tarmac for 3 hours due to an engine failure, we landed in Munich at freezing -1 degree
