.09 - 28.09
.09 - Today we began our journey through the Eyre Peninsula. On our way to our campsite in Elliston, we visited various small bays. The highlight of today was the sea lion colony at Point Labatt. In Elliston, we once again experienced the Great Ocean Drive, which we of course took. The coasts and the sea here are also impressive.
.09 - After much consideration, we decided to skip the lower part of the Eyre Peninsula and head directly to Whyalla, as we hoped to snorkel or swim there. However, it was too windy and cold to go into the water. It was still worth it, as we saw dolphins in the Whyalla harbor.
.09 - We continued on to Yorke Peninsula. A long drive led us along various Pink Lakes to our next campsite in Edithburgh. Again, we hoped to snorkel here, but the water was too turbulent and visibility was poor. Thus, we only swam briefly and then enjoyed the sunshine. While writing the blog at the campsite, a bird pooped on Viviane's head.
.09 - Marion could hardly wait for this day, as Marion Bay was on the agenda. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate fully, but we still enjoyed the Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park even in strong winds. Now it was time to set off on the long drive to Adelaide, during which it started to rain shortly after we left - perfect sightseeing timing on our part.
