The shock of a lifetime!

I was woken up at night, someone was walking through the room and out again. Well, go back to sleep. Later, when I woke up again, I wanted to know the time, but the phone was gone. It was actually on a shelf directly above the bed. It was unimaginable for me to have bumped into it somehow and make it fall down. So I was absolutely sure that someone came in at night and took it. But before I panicked, I checked the option that it might have fallen down. And it was actually in the gap behind the bed. But the shock was still deep and made me more careful in the future. I had already accepted that it was probably gone now.

So finally happy with my phone, I went to Kalaw for the van. I had booked a hiking tour to Inle Lake for the next three days. And I found a bakery with cake - yeah!

For an incredible 25 euros, we started a three-day hiking tour the next day. Staying with locals in villages, including all meals and a boat trip. Unbelievable price! Wiwi was our guide and she spoke great English, we were lucky to have her. We walked past many fields, had lunch with a great view, first along the tracks and then on the tracks until a train came and we had to avoid it. Very adventurous! We arrived at our hosts' in the late afternoon. The 'shower' consisted of a bowl with which you could pour water over yourself from a larger basin. The mattresses were very thin, it was like sleeping on the floor. But I loved this authenticity of local life!
