A few days of peace and relaxation, without big cities or long tours: That's why I went to Zeeland!

If I count up my vacations in Zeeland, Zeeland is actually my most frequent vacation destination ever. I think that's because it is relatively close to my home but still "completely different". (New Zealand, where the descendants of the Zeelanders live, would be "even more different", but it was too far for me😉)

Cycling across the Zeeland bridge: A super experience. Going with a tailwind was like flying! But also with a bit of thrill: The bike path is narrow, the railing is low, the water is quite far away. The occasional flower bouquets on the side don't help...

Coming back with a crosswind was even more exciting...

Maybe another hint: There are no lay-bys or viewpoints on the 6km Zeeland bridge, but occasionally there are scooters or fast racing bikes that overtake unexpectedly and not necessarily considerately. So before you drive onto the bridge, you might want to have a drink, stabilize yourself mentally, and preferably don't bring small children...

The local deep-fried "sin" is called Kibbeling. Very tasty!

After the rest, I'm now heading home, fit and without muscle soreness!
