Not really slept due to jet lag, we wake up at around twelve o'clock, still feeling tired. We unpack our backpacks and organize the cabinets. The first geckos dart out of the cabinet. The air conditioning is always on as the sun heats up the bungalow, otherwise it would become a sauna.
The weather is like a dream, bright blue. The sun is blazing in the sky. The humidity feels oppressive, but as it turns out, we quickly get used to it. We pack our beach towels, put on our bathing suits, and head to the beach. It's about a 20-minute walk, right off the main road. Cars, buses, tuk-tuks, scooters, and other vehicles zoom past us. Is it dangerous? Not really, the vehicles give pedestrians a wide berth. The sun is scorching, the asphalt is boiling. Completely soaked, we reach the beach. The journey alone was worth it for the view. A dream! The beach is white, trees and plants are lush green, and the water is crystal-clear. We spend the whole afternoon here, with only a handful of people around, practically having the entire dream beach to ourselves. Unimaginable...
