The first entry should provide an insight into the preparations that have been ongoing for several weeks, as the list of things to do is very long.

Vaccination

Each of us had to go through a series of vaccinations. For me, that amounts to ~800€ in vaccines. There is only one appointment left in August, then it will be done.

Confirmation

We also waited a long time for our confirmation from China, and Sophie and Thomas are still waiting for theirs. Mine finally arrived at the beginning of July.
Next up are the flights. We finally booked them yesterday. We will depart on August 26th from Frankfurt and then travel via Hong Kong to Shanghai.
And each of us has to take care of our apartments. Give notice, possibly sell furniture, and then actually move out. I have already sold some things and the room is gradually emptying.
For me, it's now time to apply for the visa and BAföG (financial aid).
Currently, it's difficult to take care of these things as we are still in the exam period, but that will be over on Thursday and then we can approach everything with more peace of mind.
The anticipation is growing...
