Unfortunately, rain was forecasted for today :-( Nevertheless, we decided to go hiking and enjoy the beautiful nature here. So we put on our rain gear and off we went... We chose the Wendelstein-Männlein trail in Bayrischzell (about 13 km from Schliersee) because it offers different stations for children. Unfortunately, it is not suitable for strollers, so Juliane had to go in the carrier ;-) At first, we were lucky with the weather, but it changed later. The trail was a total of 4 km, but we also had to conquer 200 meters of elevation. The Wendelstein-Männlein always showed us the way, and Jette couldn't wait for a girl to show the way - saying "That's me" ;-) The stations were the 1st Kneipp bath, 2nd an observation tower with a great view of the town, 3rd the dead wood path with many information boards about dead wood and its functions, etc., 4th the Green Gumpe with a waterfall and water playground, and 5th a small alpine pasture with 'Bergcafe Siglhof' and playground: this is where we got soaking wet from the pouring rain and were glad to take a break. For lunch, we had Weisswurst with pretzels, and Jette had chocolate cake ;-) Juliane ate Weisswurst with gusto and sometimes took the sausage from the plate and put it in her mouth. After refueling, we headed back to Bayrischzell, still in the rain. At the end, there was another waterfall before returning to town. Due to the continuous rain, we went back to the hotel and had dinner at an Italian restaurant...to get ready for tomorrow, as we are heading to Italy.
