By now, I have been in New Zealand for 4 days and the jet lag is slowly wearing off, and I am not as tired early anymore, even though I was surprised at how well everything went despite the 10-hour time difference.
The first two days were filled with a lot of organizational tasks, especially with the car registration, insurance, etc.
Yesterday, we were shown various aspects of the daily routine at the work site and we were allowed to do a little bit of work. In the afternoon, we went to a shopping center in the next larger city, did some shopping, and had dinner.
This morning, we left at 6 a.m. to watch the sunrise. It was cold at the beach, but the sunrise was beautiful with the sun rising over the ocean and the sky changing from orange to pink and finally to blue.🌅🌊
We then walked along the beach for a bit and also visited a small island, which was very beautiful. When we returned, we had breakfast and I ate a New Zealand kiwi that was really delicious!
Later, we went to Tauranga again, first to an OP shop, a secondhand store, but since we didn't find anything there, we went on to a shopping center. There we found everything we needed for the house.
We then spent the evening winding down in a very relaxed manner.
