DAY 1 ARRIVAL AND BARBADOS
Barbados - Welcome to Paradise!!
As an outpost of the Caribbean, Barbados is located in the Atlantic Ocean about 180 km in front of our next two islands! Protected from the Caribbean hurricanes and Columbus passed by several times without discovering the island! But more about the island on the departure day, today it's all about arriving!
Plan: Arrival, occupy cabin, possibly watch the sunset at the beach and sail away at 10 pm!
To avoid the stress of getting to the airport early in the morning for the 'best' possible traffic, we decided shortly before the trip to invest 50 € and go to the hotel 'Diwotel Frankfurt Airport' in Dreieich near Frankfurt the night before. We saved on the journey....with the Schlemmerblock Pizza in Eisingen! Breakfast was at the hotel (too cold to walk to the bakery), then 8 minutes over to Neu-Isenburg to 'Parkobello', usual good processing and transfer to Terminal 1. With a half-hour delay, we finally started! 7500 km later the captain made up for the delay and we arrived in Barbados at 3.20 pm! An hour later we were on board and sitting on the balcony in the sun at 28 degrees! Today we will watch the sunset, do the lifeboat drill and have a relaxed dinner! The suitcases finally arrived at 9 pm and then off to bed!
