Playa Carillo (9.5.22)

Even today, it's a beautiful lazy day :)

We have the whole lodge here including the pool to ourselves, only an older French couple is still here, that's it. Highlights of the day: 1) we discovered a new animal that we didn't know yet: the Halloween crab! 2) we discovered a new beach 3) I sneaked to the local supermarket in the heat. 4) I also did yoga for a good hour, just like yesterday. That's it.

But maybe not every day needs a crazy highlight? Maybe it's enough of a highlight that we get to be here and watch the howler monkeys climbing through the trees above the pool, which we don't even really notice anymore, and the iguana that always comes around during breakfast? That the Costa Rican coffee just tastes so amazing, and that Sebastian loves searching for crabs for hours?

Many of the Costa Ricans we talked to have never left their country. We take all of this for granted.

So I'm going to stop writing now, stare into space for a bit, listen to the crickets, and be grateful for the day. And there will also be food soon ;)

In that sense: don't worry, be happy :)
