After a rather turbulent flight from Singapore to Denpasar, we went straight to Seminyak, where we stayed for a total of 4 nights. In Seminyak, there are many small beautiful boutiques and shops and a (during low tide) wide sandy beach, which leads very shallow into the water - perfect for learning to surf. Of course, we wanted to try that and booked a 2-hour course. However, since the waves were very high that day, we had to wait for a while until the waves were flat enough for us. After a very short introduction on the beach, we went into the water - not so easy to keep the balance on the boards 🙈 Since the waves got bigger again, we had to get out of the water a few times, otherwise it would have been too dangerous. All in all, it was a lot of fun and hopefully it will continue in Sri Lanka.
One day we also went down to the south on a scooter. First, we watched the professionals surfing from the cafe "Single Fin", before heading to the Uluwatu Temple. There, we had a great view of a rocky cliff down to the sea - and a bridal shoot, like we have seen several times on our previous journey. However, only the visitors around probably found it funny that the location was besieged by a horde of macaques and a monkey destroyed the bride's hairstyle... 😄
