Day 4 Stage 6 Karwendelhaus - Hallerangerhaus

The announcement of the hut host was not clear. Rain and thunderstorms were expected. Meanwhile, I have joined forces with 3 others to hike this difficult route together. We wanted to give it a try. Today's start was at 6:30 in the morning. The three of them met 3 days ago, all individual hikers. Right after the hut, we had to climb secured by a wire rope. After 3 hours, we arrived at Schlauchkarsattel. Meanwhile, fog rolled in, with a light wind and we were completely soaked in sweat. So we didn't stay up there for long to avoid freezing. By the way, no one had breakfast today. We exchanged nuts and other snacks among each other. Shortly afterwards, it started raining. During the descent, there was a long passage secured by a wire rope. That was not easy. Wet rocks, rain, cold fingers. Alex helped Julia and me a lot. He looked from below where we could put our feet. I would never have hiked there alone.
Overall, it was a long and difficult tour. It was 16 km, with an ascent and descent of 1400 m. Hallelujah, today I am absolutely exhausted. I think I am the oldest among the Munich - Venice hikers. The grandma here. Tomorrow I will have breakfast again, then hike for about 5 hours to the cable car that goes to Innsbruck. I am already looking forward to the rest day on Thursday and of course to Farina as well.
