Cape Breton (Franey Trail, Sydney)

The journey continued on the Cabot Trail. We wanted to go hiking again, so Jil searched online for great trails along our route. Eventually, she found the Franey Trail, with pictures of amazing views. It was classified as 'difficult', but we thought, hey, we're not that unfit, we can do it... And we did, but we were absolutely exhausted afterwards. :D The view was totally worth it though!

For the last two nights of our road trip, we hadn't booked anything in advance, so we started looking for the next accommodation option. In the end, we decided to take a little detour to the nearby peninsula and go to Sydney, where we could find a motel or inn.

After checking in, we decided to treat ourselves to a nice dinner. After one or two disappointments due to places being closed, we ended up at the Old Triangle Irish Alehouse, sitting outside on the rooftop terrace, enjoying a beautiful sunset and delicious food.
