10th March Quito - Riobamba

At 1 o'clock we arrive in Quito, quick passport control, but wait for the suitcase, the turquoise one 😬🙄. Finally, at the very end, it rolls off the conveyor belt. After customs control, Jois, Alexandra, and Juan-David are waiting for us and we hug each other. It feels a bit like coming home. All together, we drive to Jois and Juan-David's apartment, chat for a while, and go to bed. In the morning, we have breakfast, do some laundry, talk, and the two of them work. After lunch, we drive to Riobamba, to Jois' parents. It's raining the whole way, there have been many accidents. It takes a long time.

Jois' brother and his wife from Rosi, Jois' mom, are also visiting Jois' parents. Tomorrow, there will be a memorial service for Rosis' mom who passed away a year ago.
