I must admit that I'm not really a fan of the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the Hobbit trilogy, but visiting the film sets is very interesting. You get incredibly detailed background knowledge that will leave you amazed. It's really fascinating to see what Peter Jackson has come up with and how faithful he has been to the books.

Peter Jackson went on a helicopter search for the perfect filming location and found the best spot at 'Alexander Farm'. You really need an incredible imagination when you have nothing but a few green hills but can see Hobbiton in front of you.
