Rainbow Beach (01.01.19- 02.01.19)

When we arrived in Rainbow Beach after a 3-hour delay, we headed towards the beach after a quick refreshment. We were able to borrow bodyboards from our accommodation, so nothing was stopping us from enjoying the rest of the day at the beach. Once we reached the beach, we noticed that many people were getting out of the water. The jellyfish had arrived. We asked the lifeguard about the current situation. He said we could go in the water, as the jellyfish would only sting a little. However, that took away our fun. Instead, we simply enjoyed a few hours at the beach. The view was beautiful. Rainbow Beach has a long rock formation right on the beach. By the way, as we walked up the beach, we saw more of these blue jellyfish. Too bad. Afterwards, we went back to our accommodation and had dinner. Then we took a walk through Rainbow Beach. It is a very small town influenced by tourism. There was also a small neighborhood festival there, which was beautifully lit. However, after a 10-minute walk, we had already walked through the small town.

The next day, we were greeted with free pancakes from the hostel. Very delicious. Then we packed our things again and took a two-hour bus ride to Nossa Head.
