19.11.18 - Cairns

Finally, a day off from touring 😁

Today we slept in and took advantage of the included breakfast at the hostel. 👍

Afterwards, we went on a trip to the Botanical Garden. A couple from our room recommended it. The botanical garden is a bit far away, so we walked for 50 minutes. But it was definitely worth it! It's huge and even has a small rainforest section.

Back at the hostel, we were completely sweaty because it was incredibly humid and hot today. Last night, we bought cheap sushi at the night market around the corner, and we had it for lunch. Since Ines has to check out tomorrow, we spent the rest of the day doing laundry and buying provisions for the journey. In the late afternoon, we sat by the lagoon and at least put our legs in the water 😜

Tomorrow we have a rainforest tour. And at night, Ines will go back to the south alone. She got an au pair job in Melbourne and wants to use our Greyhound ticket to get there. I extended my stay at the hostel until Sunday and want to rest here in town for a few more days... It's been quite a tight schedule in the last month. 😉 Plus, I want to look for jobs or opportunities for what I will do next. 👍
