Our alarm clock rang at 5 o'clock so that we could take one of the first shuttle buses in the morning to the start of the hiking trail, avoiding the midday heat and the large crowd of tourists.
The first section of the trail was partly steep, but like many hiking trails here, still paved.
The second section, before which some turned back, was like a kind of easy via ferrata
After a surprisingly short time, we reached the summit and could enjoy the view of the valley formed by the Virgin River in Zion National Park.
For the entire tour, which was scheduled with 5 hours by the National Park Service, we only needed 3 hours including a snack at the summit, so we could start relatively early in the direction of Joshua Tree National Park.
