So here we are again!
About 1400km later, we have finally arrived. The North is calling 🇳🇴.
The journey to our second destination was significantly longer than to Croatia.
On Tuesday morning, we traveled to Hamburg with a lot of traffic and rain 🌧. We couldn't really enjoy the German Autobahn due to lack of power (red car does not necessarily mean a Ferrari 😔) and many construction sites.
We set up our camp at a small campground by the Elbe.
That's where I also discovered that driving in sand doesn't really work well... A small payment into the tip jar and the onsite tractor helped us out of the trouble! At least I was the 3rd one that day 😅
On Wednesday, we were finally able to refill our gas supply and then continued our journey towards Denmark. We want to visit Hamburg again on the way back because a 1300km drive is too much for one day.
The further north we progressed, the sunnier and warmer it got.
We tried wild camping for the first time at a forest parking lot, and lo and behold, it was the quietest night of all!
Today, Thursday, we took the ferry from Hirtshals (Denmark) to Kristiansand (Norway). The "ferry" was more like a cruise ship with a bar, 2 restaurants, business class, duty-free shop, childcare, and a casino.
Since even the Wi-Fi is not free, you may not hear from us every day, but don't worry, we're already big 🙂
