After leaving the hot desert region of Sossosvlei towards Swakopmund, the temperature difference of about 25°C was enormous within a few hours. When we arrived in Swakopmund, we had to dig out our warm clothes, which were actually only intended for emergencies. 14°C and strong wind left us no choice.
Apparently, Swakopmund is a must-see on a trip to Namibia, but we couldn't really get into the town. Brauhaus, Kaffee Anton, Adler Apotheke, and other typical German shops line the city center. So it happened that we had a portion of Rostbratwurst with sauerkraut and potato dumplings at the Brauhaus;-) However, a desert safari with guide Tommy, who brought out the 'Little Five' from the desert sand, saved our day......super interesting and mega funny
Two days of 'Germany' ;-)) were enough, and we were looking forward to continuing our journey towards Etosha National Park. On the way there, we stayed overnight in Twyfelfontein, an area with millennia-old rock paintings from the time of the nomadic peoples.
