We arrived at Lake Louise with many other tourists, so far we hadn't noticed them so much. Attempts are being made to regulate the traffic and people with traffic rules. We are lucky and drive in a convoy to the Fairmont Château and get a parking spot in the afternoon. We can complete the short hike to the viewpoint with sunshine before a rain shower catches up with us back at the parking lot. The view and the color of the lake justify the rush.
We spend the night at the Lake Louise Campsite, which is protected by an electric fence due to the danger of bears. So far, we haven't encountered any bears during our 5 days in the region.
