Auckland

My hotel is in the Wynyard Quarter, right by the harbor and the fish market... it couldn't be better! The CBD (Central Business District) with the Skytower, Auckland's landmark, is within sight.

So far I have seen more Indians (including my taxi driver, who has driven me three times and is very nice and helpful) than New Zealanders, although the origin and influence of the Maori is much more evident here than in Wellington, for example.

I visited the shipyard where the superlative ships are located and opposite the old historic sailing boats, some from 1898... 👍⛵

Tomorrow first excursion with the ferry to "Waiheke Island" for the wine tasting tour with hopefully 20*C and sunshine according to the weather forecast.

I'm currently sitting in the fish market, drinking a glass of wine and eating seafood, following the hustle and bustle and having the world in my pocket...
