The transcript of an exhausted soul - Part I

Weşandin: 05.05.2019

Dear diary,

today I am writing about yesterday.

Fully rested, we met for breakfast shortly after 7:00, where one person in particular stood out by consuming obscene amounts that felt like 80% of the provided buffet. Well prepared for changeable weather - short pants, long coat -, we left the hotel and immediately shed our outer layer, as we already saw the bright face when passing through the hotel door, which evaporated any moisture from our retina.

Trusting in our physical endurance, we decided to avoid additional transfers by walking one station. We paid for this stupidity with pain and sweat. Finally, according to the new schedule, we arrived punctually at Gyeongbokung Palace, where we were immediately exposed to harassment by hysterical fans who were not even stopped by serious, stern looks in their group selfie frenzy. Encouraged by the success of shameless photo hunting, some admirers ruthlessly took advantage of our good nature and begged for audiences, in which we politely revealed various information about ourselves, which, where we come from, is actually strictly confidential and falls under the data protection law. In the end, we were still able to explore the rest of the palace grounds undisturbed.

Afterwards, we followed the historical footsteps of King Sejong and Admiral Yi deeper into the city. After a break for ice cream, we walked along the banks of Cheonggyecheon, barely escaping its capricious currents.

Surrounded by centuries of accumulated wisdom, we meditated in Tapgol Park about the next stage of our journey.

And what happened next, you will never believe...
