After spending a few days at the beach, I would like to give you a little summary.
On Wednesday we started a little shopping tour through the Lincoln Road Mall and of course also took a little dip in the sea before we took a walk to South Pointe Park in the evening. From there you have a nice view of the illuminated freight harbor and part of the South Beach skyline.
Then we spent the evening comfortably in a hookah bar directly on Ocean Drive.
We spent almost the entire day at the beach yesterday and unfortunately got sunburned despite applying sunscreen several times.
This prompted us to spend the evening with a few Coronas (beer) in front of the TV and regularly apply after-sun lotion.
Today (Friday) we took a Segway tour to Palm Island. The island is actually closed and only accessible to residents, as many stars and wealthy people have a villa with a yacht dock there. However, we were allowed to pass the security gate with the Segways and take a look at the villas from the street. After a short period of getting used to it, riding the Segway was really easy and a lot of fun.
Afterwards, we decided to go to a Cuban restaurant. The food there tasted very good and was a little exotic with fried sweet banana and other specialties. A pitcher of ice-cold, homemade Sangria rounded it off very nicely.
