3. Day - Thursday (czwartek)

The destination is the former German Enamelware Factory (DEF) of Oskar Schindler, also known as 'Emalia'.

But the way there is interesting.

In Podgórze, you are not allowed to throw a ball against a house wall:

Today, the former administration building of DEF houses a very modern, multimedia exhibition:

'Krakau - die Besatzungszeit 1939 - 1945'

Oskar Schindler's DEF was located outside the ghetto in Podgórze. By employing Jews from the ghetto to produce enameled vessels and military supplies, he was able to save over 1000 Jews from certain death.

As a German, you often walk through the exhibition with your head lowered..

..but even that doesn't help here!

MOCAK

After the shock, off to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow..

..as I said, in the former production factory Schindler's DEF, right next door.
