Almeria

cheers together,

I'm sitting in Spain right now enjoying a big Cervesa. I may feel drunk after the first few sips - but I may not. I'm definitely noticing that I haven't been drinking a lot of alcohol when I'm drinking for a while now.

I'm a little late again, but the last few days have been full of activities and so writing has been a bit too short. But since my loyal fans need an update, of course, I retreated to the camping restaurant to write. I would have preferred to do it in my pyjamas, but unfortunately the WiFi doesn't reach that far.

After hiking in the Sierra Espuna unfortunately didn't work out, I headed further south with the aim of hiking in the Sierra Nevada near Granda.

Since I didn't want to just keep driving and needed some kind of bad weather program, I decided to go to the museum on a Sunday. Well, I actually wanted to stroll through the shopping hall, but unfortunately I discovered that they are also closed on a Sunday in Spain - crap. Unfortunately, there was no cinema either, because no films were presented in the original version (English). So all I really had left was a museum, and unfortunately that can only be found in somewhat larger cities. So I decided to go to Almeria and make a stop there.

And for everyone who is wondering why I didn't look at the castle in Almeria: I was simply too lazy to walk to the castle and I wanted to arrive at the campsite in Granada in time as there was still a lot to plan for my hikes applied.

So we went to the Museum of Almerian Archeology - coincidentally, this is also a museum that is free and sometimes one that was open at least until 3 p.m. on a Sunday.

Here, among other things, the history of the Romans in Almeria and also the most diverse finds from the region were treated.

What I liked best, however, was a work of art called: "The Circle of Life". He doesn't just do this because it gives me a catchy tune from The Lion King, but also because it symbolizes that everything is finite and a cycle that finds its way.

I've definitely noticed for myself that I really like artwork made from lines and wire.

After I was in the museum for about 1.5 hours, I continued through a still wet city where there wasn't much going on due to the weather and the day of the week.

Almeria has its own Walk of Fame, like Los Angeles. But I have to admit to you that I didn't know a single one of these names.

In summary, this city didn't have that much glamor and somehow I didn't feel any connection to the city here. Maybe I just didn't spend enough time here. In any case, it is not a place for me that I would want to return to.

But form your own opinion and visit this city and when you do that, be sure to let me know how you felt about this city.

Your Britta
