Today we went rafting on the Sarapiqui River with Green Rivers. I was a little surprised that 5-year-olds can do class 2-3 rafting here, but Sebastian was fully motivated and so after 20 minutes of driving and a short safety briefing we were on the river. And it was really intense in some places 😱. Our guide Reyder was great, we had the boat to ourselves and we were accompanied by a safety kayak, which is standard here - just in case.
Along the way, there were plenty of rapids, a tropical downpour (it doesn't matter, you're already wet), several beautiful red macaws in the air, and a fruit break. In total, we were on the river for about 1 hour and 40 minutes and we paddled approximately 11 km. Sebastian was thrilled and we thought it was great too.
Afterwards, we made our way to our next stop, 'La Fortuna', and made a stop at the 'Iguana Bridge' in Muelle. There are tons of iguanas there that you can observe from a small restaurant.
Overall, it's been raining on and off now, but it's still warm. So rain in the pool is the new standard for us. 😎
