Next to you in Malibu

We once again realized how much Americans love driving during our first road trip to Malibu. Along with two other Germans who had a car, we plunged into traffic and drove along beautiful coastal roads towards Malibu! After two hours, we reached the famous beach, which was crowded with surfers. Unfortunately, swimming was not allowed there, so we just sat in the sand and watched the surfers. Back at our hostel, we had to fuel up and set out to enjoy our first burger in America! At 'Burgerim', we were delighted with mini-burgers. We definitely needed this boost because our road trip was about to continue: we wanted to check off the hike to the Hollywood Sign from our to-do list. Unfortunately, we were running late, so instead we drove very close to the Hollywood Sign and enjoyed the nighttime view of L.A.!
