Two days full of games, fun and excitement.....

My favorite days of the week are my off days: P On the first day, I met a few roomies at breakfast and we all realized we have the day off today, the sun wasn't really shining, but we decided to make the most of the day.... After much thinking, we decided to go to the Kodilla Waterfalls, which are a 40-minute to 1-hour drive away. So Flav and his girls set off, the drive was really funny and we stopped at a great viewpoint.
Well, anyway, it was a great and funny day, which ended at PeterPans (travel agency opposite the hostel, which offers party with pizza and goon and raffles every Thursday) with winning a voucher for 25 dollars of free drinks at our bar. So I definitely won't have been there for the last Thursday, maybe I'm lucky and can grab something again.
On Friday morning, we took the Greyhound bus to Australia Zoo. After about an hour's drive, we reached the zoo.
Everyone who knows me knows that I'm not really a fan of zoos, but this one really convinced me, super beautifully laid out, with great shows in a stadium-like setting and great theme parks. My highlight was definitely Roo Heaven and my new favorite animal is also kangaroos now :P It was an exciting and great day! But see for yourself!
Unfortunately, the internet doesn't allow any more pictures at the moment, but hopefully it is enough to get an impression :) The new week started after a weekend with a lot of work and sometimes not so nice hours. My plan for the week is very good. I spent my first day off at the beach and checked out the tiny and cute surf festival, which was heavily advertised here, but was just very cute and pretty empty, incomparable to any event in Germany. In the evening, I went to the cinema to watch an Australian film called 'Jasper Jones'. The film was great and we really liked it, it might not have been the last Tuesday I was at the cinema. Like in Germany, Tuesday is also movie day here! The only disappointment was that there was only salty popcorn and I was so looking forward to popcorn!!!
