Traveled at a bit of a leisurely pace today.
On the one hand, I wanted to take it easy after the 137 km yesterday, and on the other hand, my stomach was bothering me a bit last night. Nothing bad, but it was annoying. Probably too much pasta. 🫣
The weather was great again, except for the wind - but I'll come to that later.
Everything went perfectly on the bike too. No after-effects from yesterday in my legs.
The two sections, which went straight for a total of 17 km, were a bit tiring. It's not fun.
But luckily, there are lots of small towns here that make up for the boredom of the route. In fact, people here at the IJsselmeer are a little better prepared for tourism. While it used to be really hard to get a cup of coffee, it's no problem here.
So, and then came the Markerwaard dike. 🫣
Old manager!
26 KM headwind!
More precisely, from the front right, which doesn't make things any better - on the contrary!
He came straight from hell! 😤
In numbers, 12-13 knots. So up to about 25 km/h. It felt like I was driving backwards.
I was really happy about it.
But the route was impressive.
So in the end the speedometer showed almost 100 km. I have to stop taking the “shortcut” 😉😉
Now let's end the evening with beer and burgers. ☺️☺️
