So today we spent the day with the alternative planning of our trip. After Nora woke up around 11 am, we extended our hotel stay for two more nights. Then, around 12 o'clock, we had breakfast...at least in that regard we are already in holiday mode :-))
In the afternoon, we went to the train station to exchange our ticket. To my surprise, it was quite easy. However, the only available trip was for Friday evening. Well, we took it for now. But during the day, it turned out that the storm is expected to peak on the golf islands (and therefore on our train route) on Friday and Saturday. So, this trip is also cancelled....literally. Now what? I asked myself that question for the rest of the day. I haven't found a real solution yet, but at the moment it looks like we will leave Thailand early and move on to Malaysia.
To distract ourselves from all the planning, we went to Lumpini Park for 2 hours. Bangkok's largest green area. Countless joggers were out and about, one even wearing a BVB jersey :-)) We took a tour in the swan pedal boat and afterwards Nora played on the playground.
Back at the hotel, we had a delicious meal. And during the meal, it reminded me (or rather my taste buds) that when a Thai menu says "spicy", you should take it seriously :-) But what can I say, it was delicious anyway!
Now we are in bed. Tomorrow is a new day. Until then, greetings....still from Bangkok...
