The next day, we hike in the other direction along the coast to Tintagel. It's summery warm and we start sweating while walking. But we had cold weather long enough and we don't want to complain. Even though it often goes steep uphill, it's always an experience when you reach the top, because then you are rewarded with a fantastic view. We can't get enough of the breathtakingly beautiful coast. When we arrive in Tintagel, we look for a shady spot and have a snack.
The bay with Merlin's Cave is beautifully located in front of Tintagel. However, access is also blocked here due to falling rocks, which is a pity, as you can only reach the cave from there. According to legend, Merlin was born here... Two bridges lead to the castle, here the tourist has to reach deep into his pocket as well. There is not much left of the castle, really just a few old stones, we are disappointed by the sight and we save the entrance fee.
