After our landing in Halifax, we spent three more days in an accommodation located in the middle of a college.
14 hours of sleep later and a little exploration tour, we headed to the countryside to a small place called Musquodoboit Harbour. Here, we have a room in a typical Canadian house. Darrell, a very nice Canadian, lives in the house and introduces us to the beautiful nature through some round trips, answers our questions about the country, and occasionally surprises us with homemade biscuits in the morning. We have already learned a lot from him :)
Darrell: Thank you very much for the lovely welcome in Musquodoboit Harbour. We loved our evening drives to the wonderful places in Nova Scotia and learned very much about Canada. Thanks for not judging our English skills, haha ;) Maybe we'll see each other again! Stay cool <3
The nature here is beautiful. Endless hiking trails, forests, lakes, and breathtaking coastlines.
What impresses us the most are the nice people. I don't know how many times we have explained our planned trip through Canada and described Austria, but it has been many times! :)
Unfortunately, beer is very expensive here, which is a disadvantage for Roman (8$ for 0.5 liters), so Roman has to fast, haha. ;) As a passionate noodle eater, I had to try the famous Mac&Cheese, but unfortunately, they were very disgusting!!
Now there is finally time for forgotten hobbies like carving, sudoku, ...
We hope that we can pick up our bus as planned on June 30th. Looks pretty good right now.
