So that was and is at least the plan. After a really good night, although quite cool, we started the day with our first camper breakfast. By the late evening, a total of 6 campers had joined us. As we were told before, most of them arrive just before dark and some leave very early.
After refueling, we drove onto the Inntal Motorway, across the Brenner Pass, heading south to Lake Garda.
Already on the motorway, we had the chance to experience the Italian driving style live, including a rear-end collision a few cars ahead of us.
We had already used our app to get an overview of caravan parking spaces. We first headed to a small winery above Lazise, which unfortunately was occupied. It would have been a nice place to park, but of course, thousands of other campers also have access to this app. We then went to a campsite directly in Lazise, which was also fully booked. After trying our luck with another place by phone (70€/night), we went to Peschiera, where there is a large camper parking area (24€/24 hours including electricity and everything the camper needs) and there was a spot available for us there. The tip from our landlord to use the afternoon hours to search for places proves to be worth its weight in gold on day 2 as well. The parking area fills up very quickly in the evening.
After a little exploration tour in Peschiera and of course enjoying good Italian gelato, we finally had a proper Italian pizza again.
It's also delightful to observe other campers in the evening and their corresponding camper models.
Best wishes, Nadine
